Installing Office 365
Office 365 is available for free to download for students at Central Community College. Office 365 includes full versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other programs. This package can be installed on Windows 7, Windows 8, Macintosh systems and mobile devices that support Office 365.
To install Office 365, you need to sign into your CCC email account from your computer, navigate to the software settings, and install the software.
Step 1: Access your CCC email account from your computer
- Head to CCC's website (www.cccneb.edu) and click the WebCentral link.
- Login to your student account.
- Click the link to your student email on the WebCentral page.
- Log on to your student email.
Step 2: Navigate to the software settings inside your student account
- Click the Gear icon in the upper right corner of your email window.
- In the drop down menu, select Office 365 settings.
- Click on Software on the left hand side of the page under Office 365 settings
- Select the installation options.
- Choose your Language
- Choose the version for your system. (32-bit Office 365 is recommended for Windows even if you have a 64-bit OS)
- Click Review system requirements to ensure your computer meets the requirements for Office 365.
- Click Install.
Step 3: Install the software and sign into Office 365
- When the Installation window appears click Next in the lower right corner.
- Choose your installation method, then click Accept.
- After the download completes, you'll be prompted to sign in.
- Sign in with your student email and click Next.
- Click on Organizational account.
- Enter your student email password.
- Start one of the Office 365 programs.
Forwarding Email
Follow these instructions if you wish to forward your outlook.com student email to another email account.
- Sign in to your outlook student email account and click the Gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
- Using the drop down menu, click on Options.
- On the navigation bar to the left, expand Mail, then Accounts and click on Forwarding.
- Click the radio button in front of "Start Forwarding".
- Enter the email address you want your outlook email forwarded to and be sure to click Save.
- If you wish to keep a copy of the forwarded email in your outlook.com email, check the box in front of the "Keep a Copy" line under the forwarding email address.
